Segway GM PUMA: Good or bad?

While the Segway Personal Transporter never amounted to anything outside of a niche market, General Motors and Segway have teamed up to bring us the PUMA (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility). You can seat two, and travel up to 35 miles per hour. It needs to be recharged after before 35 miles. It includes OnStar. The prototype is in New York.

The question still remains: will society embrace these and where do you park it without it getting robbed?

Chia Obama

Everyone has heard of Chia Pet, and now there is Chia Obama. You can now water President Obama's head and watch an afro grow with real plants. Walgreens stores in Tampa and Chicago have taken the product off the shelves, as there have been some complaints about it being racist or in bad taste.

GhostNet: Your computer can spy on you

What a scary world we live in. The University of Toronto have discovered an Internet spying operation that has infiltrated over 1,200 computers in over 100 countries. The codename is GhostNet. The malware phishes for information, and has remote access to turn any computer into a listening device.

The office of the Dalai Lama- the spiritual leader of Buddhism- suspected malware or viruses on its computers and contacted the Munk Center for International Studies to investigate. However, it was no mere malware or trojan. The operation not only spyied on the Dalai Lama, but also on the governments of South Asian countries.

Is Potfest real?

Everyone is searching for “Potfest”, the sequel to the Broken Lizard team’s 2006 movie Beerfest.

The Potfest rumors and speculation began with the Beerfest movie itself, which ended claiming that the sequel, Potfest, was just on the horizon. But that was clearly a joke just to get some publcity.

However, the amount of fan interest (especially on the Internet) in a Potfest project has made Broken Lizard reconsider the project's viability, and they are now seriously considering creating a Potfest movie to give into the demand.

In the economy, I wouldn't be suprised if it happens.

NHL trade: Daniel Carcillo and Scottie Upshall

Hockey news: The Flyers have acquired Daniel Carcillo from Phoenix for winger Scottie Upshall and a second-round pick.

If this is a payroll move, it only saves a few hundred thousand dollars. This deal doesn't make a lot of sense on the surface, which leads me to believe another trade is in the words. Upshall is a better hockey player than Carcillo, and to also give up a second round pick is weird.
